When the cents go marching in

Just came off of a temp job working in a warehouse. As much as I've heard other people gripe about 'em, the job wasn't half bad. Yes, I had to get up at 4:00 to get ready and walk to a bus stop at 5:00, to wait at a transfer point till 5:40 to be to work at 6:00, but that's mostly my own failing for not having a car. The pay was (slightly) better than minimum wage and it was 40 hours a week for 3 weeks. Caught up on my bills and bought some new socks! Can't ask for more than that right now.

Anyway, the real benefit of the ordeal was meeting some other people. I largely expected the other temps to be people who were 'lifers'... always have been temps, 'n' always will be temps. As luck would have it, I came across a few other people who liked D&D as much as I do (or close nuf fer me, anyway) so we're going to be kickin down on some board games and Dungeons and--if we're good little boys and other boys--Dragons.
